The perfect rip-off by Apple from Windows Phone

Apple's iOS 7 GM(Gold Master) is available for download and for those who's very keen on trying only GM it's time to download, plug and connect to iTunes. If looking for a appropriate & legitimate link, scroll to bottom of article.

(Okay idk why I started with talking about iOS 7 availability but it makes me feel bizarre)

Detail.. I was a WP (windows phone) user and I didn't feel any thumb's down upon using it. It's Lumia 920.

(I'll not get into it's features/interface much)

I sold my Lumia for a good reason to replace it with iPhone 5 32Gb, installed iOS 7 Beta 5 from iOS 6.1.x as soon as I held it in my hand. I was far from impressed with a dash of quick fade away appreciating smile with continuous clicks/touch's on the screen, got involved in checking out the interface. Factually the interface is sleek, smooth, pretty and with the Amazing A6 processor the rendering and loading is quick (definitely better than A5).

The let down here isn't because of new features/modifications and add-on's. It is all about how cleverly Apple copied the Anime-style, Interface and the in app looks.

Here's what I think (My Opinion)....

If you are already iOS 7 or WP user you definitely know your OS and it's look. Here's the First thing I noticed, thinking our phone in Locked Mode and Unlocking it, in WP it's apps fall from the extreme left to right in their sequence (just the way you turn a page from left to right side). Like wise in iOS the icons rest/fall on the screen with middle placed apps first and the boundary apps last(extreme left and right, top and bottom). I mean apps at the center fall first followed by it's nearest beside apps and finally the extreme distant app icons. The similarity can be clearly figured with just one camparison look placing both beside and checking.

Secondly, I know it's ain't fair to talk about shapes being used but it's all about Who Started. Agree! Well the use of circles/round shape started with Windows OS. Round shape is used severally in WP like in contacts page. Funny here, Apple used it in Keypad page (in the page to dial number).

iOS 7 Keypad

It's an intelligible thing, if not convinced with just two point-outs.

Microsoft used fancy and plain but calm colours in its interface especially in its other than Lockscreen. Whatever a user sets his Phone colour theme as but it's plain and used almost everywhere. Supposing you opened a Message app you will see the message area blacked out in background of message's while keypad comprised of black with grey keys. When it's a White background it looks like as in below compared images.

Similar thing is copied by Apple and applied that plain sight of colour to all pages fixed with a default colour. As opened the Keypad and Contact list. You will find the White colour painted where Silver, Green, Red, Crystal black were used in early versions of iOS. In case of Message app it's no different from being a copy cat. While background is filled with white, keypad filled with whitish grey and keys with white.

Ergo, this following reason actually was my first sight recognized to be copied from WP. It's better to show than saying. Just to mention to address what exactly am speaking about....the copied part here is of the LOCK SCREEN, except the difference that Time/Date stamp differ in spots fixed for 'em. The style of displaying is perfectly copied.

These things I mentioned are the quick things I noticed as being copied from WP. There might be many others that have got copied. If you find things that you feel as got copied from WP to iOS 7. Mention it as comments. Thank you.

Missed features in iOS 7 from iOS 6

By date 16th August, iOS 7 beta 6 is a just released update, there are some features missing...

  1. There used to be 3 different fonts for Notes app but in beta 6, Notes App is limited to default Font.
  2. Did you try to Rate your song? Then try. Lol :D you will not be able to rate songs in Music app also the rating of songs are not displayed in iOS 7.
  3. Also we will not be able to add app's to wish list in App Store, that's possible in iTunes but not in iPhone running beta.
  4. Actually I felt annoyed when I wanted to hit next. Unfortunately we will not be able to press next next Notes app
  5. We won't be able to link contacts to each other we wish to (This is incase of only few unexpected contacts) in Contacts app.
  6. If you wanted to link contacts Ramesh 1 and Ramesh 2. On hitting link option in the name Ramesh 1 in the Contacts app, unlike in previous versions of iOS in this beta version, you will be made to scroll from the first contact to the contact we wanted to link with(While Ramesh 1 and Ramesh 2 are leaning together).
  7. It was fun/helpful when iPhone speak, Now this Speaking feature where it was possible to be used almost any where(like in Safari web pages, Message's, mails, Notes etc). Check with your older iOS version will find that feature and missing in iOS 6 beta.
  8. When screen is bright or uneasy felt to read web pages in Safari App, Reader Option was convenient enough to use. This too is missing.
  9. Charging the iPhone is a regularly done. And yeah it was convinient enough to let unplug the charge pin and hang out after Full charge. Lucky for us it was made easier by a symbolic representation(plug pin shape)  representing Full charge but in iOS 7 beta v that representation is missing. Only a 100% numeric is displayed but not wether it's complete 100% or not. And This missing feature is of on iPhone Status bar, but when checked under Time display in lock screen. It's mentioned, like '100% Charged'.
  10. In iOS 6 notification centre apple gifted a shortcut for Updating Facebook status and Twitter status as well. After successfully updating also it was convinient enough to use them but not until on some grey day. Caz it went missing.
So my friends, my frenemies this is all I found. Show interest and feel free to let me and other's know what's MISSING

Thank you.

How countries see each other according to Google.

Some things are definitely cool to know. But recently I came across a stereotype thats hilarious. The story is Google search suggestions are a mixed blessing—but sometimes they can prove hilarious. Like this series of locally based suggestion, which show what different countries really think of each other. Put together by Noah Veltman, this graphic relies on the variation of search suggestions by location. And it really works. Here, you can see suggestions for the same query when it's typed in from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Check out the below stereotype..

Did you know?

→ Recently I found few interesting things and I thought it will be fun to share :)
  • If two pieces of metal touch in space, they become permanently stuck together. Two pieces of metal without any coating on them will form in to one piece in the vacuum of space. This is called 'Cold Welding'.

  • Amazing photo of waterspout near Tampa (Oldsmar), Florida.
  • When you look at a clock, and the second hand seems to freeze for a moment, your brain is actually generating a false memory, and your perception of time stretches slightly backward. This effect is called → Chronostasis.

Anecdote of my need to Blog

After my 10th grade, it's Junior College turn for my education. It was then I came across this locution "Blog". I thank that newspaper article I read. Cuz of them I knew "what's Blogging is and what can be done with it".

It's awesome...but it's just an instance I felt like blogging and went oblivion!

Later, it was during my Graduation course I decided to indulge in blogging and I created a blog with name, "Being savvy". I was overzealous. But only problem was I didn't actually knew what I can be with it as I was being sandbagged with college work. I couldn't be fastidious enough and had to shelve it for some other day.

Yikes! I think it'll be nice to post here, the post's I have put-up in my blog back then!

Anyways, I stopped blogging then and now am back with a new me. This time I wish I would keep blogging and keep it engaging. I wouldn't want to look my first post look heavy and bulky. So I tried it look simple.

May be it's not a worth a read of my blog for you but I am a starter. And truly unlike before am overzealous and also fastidious enough.

Thank you for your time, if you are reading this.
